April Brunch, Happy Hour & May Anniversary Events
As March winds down, we have a few updates to share. Our next brunch is this weekend, Sunday April 3, from 9am - 1pm. We're bringing pork belly back and have brisket brining for corned beef hash. Strawberries are in season so expect to eat plenty of them as well, and of course we'll have mimosas, fresh squeezed orange juice, and Soju Bloody Marys. Garden Kitchen's one year anniversary of May 9 is fast approaching, so we have events planned for the ENTIRE month of May. The celebration begins with Cinco de Mayo, followed by a very special weekend of one year anniversary dinners on Friday May 6th and Saturday May 7th, and a Sunday Mother's Day Brunch on May 8. We hope you are enjoying the cooler weather that has arrived here in San Diego. It’s certainly refreshing after the long, hot summer we had. Let us remind you, even with the temperature change it’s still great for outdoor dining! We bought more heaters, pulled the fuzzy blankets out, and people have still been enjoying great meals on our patio. We'll be starting this week off with Italian Night on Tuesday the 10th. The menu is available on our website and Facebook. (Hint: Pumpkin Stuffed Raviolis, Italian Minestrone Soup, Housemade Spaghetti & Meatballs, Ice Cream & much more .... yum!) In the previous newsletter we mentioned that we were trying out some new items- we had our new bison short ribs on last week and sold out! Beer & Wine Update and Sunday Brunch
Many of you have already heard the great news that we are now serving beer and wine! People have been asking for a while, and after several months of patiently waiting, our license was finally approved this week. Now when you join us you can enjoy some local beer or a nice glass of wine with your meal. The first brewery we are featuring is Benchmark Brewing, they make some great beer and it's an honor to be serving their beer at Garden Kitchen. We are also serving four different wines, and will be expanding our offerings in the future. To celebrate the good news, we will be open for brunch this Sunday, 9/20, from 9am to 1pm. And of course we will be have mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice on the menu! We always take reservations as well as walk ins, just give us a call us at 619-431-5755. We're well into our San Diego summer, and the weather is perfect for a great meal on our lovely patio! To get you primed for your next visit, we have a few updates for you. Our next brunch is Sunday, August 2, 9am - 1pm. We post a menu teaser a few days prior, be on the lookout on Facebook where we post daily. Speaking of Facebook, we just passed 500 likes, thank you to all who follow and support us on a regular basis! Many of you joined us last month for Fred Benedetti playing Spanish guitar on our patio, he will be joining us again on Tuesday August 4, 6:30PM-8:30PM. We will be featuring seafood cioppino, various tapenades, and our extremely popular Sangria (N/A). Reservations are highly recommended.
