St. Patrick’s, Vegan Wine Dinner, Benchmark Beer Dinner

We have another fun month ahead of us. This past weekend was our Valle de Guadalupe Wine Dinner with special guest chef Ismene Venegas from El Pinar de 3 Mujeres in Valle de Guadalupe. This was an amazing six course Valle inspired dinner including six Baja wine pairings and featuring organic produce from San Diego’s farms, herbs from the mountains of Guadalupe, Baja seafood and more!

St. Patrick’s Day is now just around the corner, and we will have a themed menu Thursday through Saturday, March 16, 17, 18. Some items you can can expect are corned beef brisket, fresh catch fish & chips, Guinness lamb stew, bangers & mash, vegan shepherds pie, stout brownies & Irish car bomb ice cream. We’ll also have oatmeal stout on tap from Benchmark Brewing. If you plan on joining us, we highly recommended reservations.

The following Friday March 24, we will be CLOSED as we host the private wedding celebration of one of our favorite young regulars. It is such an honor to have friends of Garden Kitchen choose us for these special celebrations, so we thank you for understanding.

We’re hosting another special Sunday Night Dinner, March 26th. This is one that many of you have been looking forward to for a long time, a 5-course, 100% Vegan Dinner! Join us to enjoy this dairy & meat free evening celebrating local & organic fruits & vegetables!  This event has a 6pm seating only, and cost is $75, an additional $25 for wine pairings. Remember tax & tip are included in this price!

Saturday April 1st we will again be closed for a private event, this one is a special 70th birthday party! And no this is not an April Fools joke!

With our 2 year anniversary approaching in May, we will kick off with our first ever BEER Dinner with Benchmark Brewing & special guest chef Miguel Valdez, Executive Chef at The Red Door! On Sunday, April 30th, enjoy 6 courses, 6 beers & hours of fun! Meet the brewer & owners Matt & Rachel Akin. We will have two seatings, 4pm & 7pm. This event will sell out so we recommend making your reservations early.

Don’t forget that we have fresh seafood from Catalina Offshore every Thursday, Friday & Saturday. And with the days getting longer and the weather looking more promising for March, the afternoons are great for happy hour! Enjoy $5 wines & sangria, $4 beers & $3 off appetizers every Tuesday thru Saturday from 3-5pm.
