We hope you had a safe and relaxing 4th of July weekend. With summer now in full swing, it’s time to announce some upcoming events!
Next week, Tuesday July 12 to Saturday July 16, is San Diego Pride Week, and in support of our LGBT friends we will be selling six layer rainbow cake and donating 100% of the proceeds from these desserts to the San Diego LGBT Community Center. These cakes will be on the menu all week, show your support and enjoy a slice after dinner!
The following week we have guest chef Matt Richman joining us in the kitchen for two nights, Thursday July 21 and Friday July 22. Matt is former owner and executive chef of Table 926 in Pacific Beach, and will be executive chef at Table 1888 at Depot Springs Beer Company when it opens later this summer in La Mesa. He will be in the kitchen collaborating with Coral on a special menu.
With the warm evenings finally here it’s time for our first Hawaiian Night! On Tuesday July 26 we will be serving up Kalua pork, pineapple sweet bread, vegan loco moco, spiked Hawaiian punch, and will have hula dancers performing to put you on island time! This should be a fun and busy event so we definitely recommend reservations. Hawaiian shirts are encouraged!
We’re happy to announce a very special, reservation only Baja Wine Dinner planned for Sunday August 7. Starting at 5:45pm, this event will be five courses plus amuse bouche, paired with six different Baja wines. Our Baja “wine guy” Albert Villa will be there to discuss the wines, as will at least one of the winemakers from the represented wineries. The food will be in the Garden Kitchen style that you know, but of course with some Mexican flair. The cost is $100, that includes the five course dinner and wine pairings, as well as tax & tip. Lastly, we will be closed for a Employee Vacation Week at the end of summer, from August 30 – September 3, reopening after Labor Day. As you know we’re a small operation and our team works incredibly hard every day to craft our food from scratch and provide the best service possible. This will be a week for us and our employees to have some free time and enjoy the end of summer.
