It’s been almost one year since we served our first dinner on the Garden Kitchen patio, and we’re thrilled with how far we’ve come! We’ve met so many wonderful people and continue to be amazed by the overwhelming support. In one short year you’ve watched our food evolve and our staff grow, you waited patiently with iced tea while our beer and wine license was pending approval; you’ve seen our patio plants bloom and die, you saw our patio cover go up this winter and even humored us by eating in the rain! Most recently you’ve seen us expand hours to include Happy Hour from 3pm – 5pm. And now with warm summer days approaching we are working to install patio fans to keep you cool. We want sunny afternoons to be as enjoyable as dinner under the stars!
Our first official day open for business last year was May 9, so with our one year anniversary right around the corner we have plenty of events planned to celebrate all month long. We hope you can join us! We expect to be busy for these events so reservations are recommended, 619-431-5755.
5/4 Wed – Edwards Vineyard Winemaker Night, 5-9pm : All entrees as well as other menu items with suggested Edwards Wine pairings. Pick your own menu selections & pairings! The winery owners will be there to pour & discuss their wines.
5/5 Thurs – Cinco de Mayo: We’ll be making blue corn chips, stuffed jalapenos and carne asada along with other great Mexican food. Wear your sombreros!
5/6 Fri & 5/7 Sat – One Year Anniversary Dinners: These are our official anniversary celebration nights. Menu highlights will be San Diego’s freshest seafood, quail, Frenched 12oz Pork Chop & Wagyu Steak. Tables will be set with special linens. Great night to bring Mom!
5/8 Sun – Mothers Day Brunch 9am – 1pm, Fancy Brunch just for Mom!
5/10 Tues – Gourmet Burger Night: In addition to gourmet burgers, PBJ cookies & choc chip cookie dough cake!
5/11 Wed – South Coast Winery Night, 5-9pm : All entrees as well as other menu items with suggested South Coast Wine pairings. Pick your own menu selections & pairings! Our South Coast Rep Kyle, will be there to pour & discuss their wines.
5/12 Thurs – Kohill Winemaker Night, 5-9pm : All entrees as well as other menu items with suggested Kohill Wine pairings. Pick your own menu selections & pairings! The winery owners will be there to pour & discuss their wines.
5/17 Tues – Fred Benedetti playing Spanish Guitar from 5:30-8:30pm, menu will include Sangria, Tapas & Paella.
5/19 Thurs – Chuparosa Vineyard Winemaker Night, 5-9pm : All entrees as well as other menu items with suggested Chuparosa Wine pairings. Pick your own menu selections & pairings! The winery owners will be there to pour & discuss their wines.
5/25 Wed – Movie Night Under the Stars: 5pm Ratatouille and 7pm Casablanca, Clark Dahlman will set up a projector screen!
5/26 Thurs – Benchmark Brewing Neighbor Night: Menu items with suggested Benchmark beer pairings. Pick your own menu selections & pairings! Rolando neighbors and owners of Benchmark will be there to pour tasters & discuss their beer.
6/1 Sunday – WE REST!
