For those last minute shoppers we still have a few Gift Baskets and other a la carte items available for purchase! Our hand decorated holiday baskets start at $25 and include our from scratch local produce accoutrements such as our signature “24 carrot marmalade”, peach jam, sangria pickled cherries and tarragon pickled beets. We’ve also connected with some local artisans to finish stuffing the baskets. You’ll find Johns Umami Gold (best hot sauce like condiment), Celeste’s Hot But Sweet Relish, Dickinson Farm Fig & Beet Mustard and Hansen Soaps (all natural, vegan & handmade). Many of the items are also available a la carte and make great last minute stocking stuffers!
We’re hosting a “New Year’s Eve Eve” Dinner on Sunday, December 30th. This special reservation only dinner event is our last night before we close for break and takes the place of our regular NYE dinner. It will be a perfect way to celebrate the year’s end with a wonderfully intimate dinner, while keeping NYE available for the parties! There will be 7 courses with wine pairings, expect to see lobster, chateaubriand, and some other special treats! There are still spaces left so call 619-431-5755 to make your reservation! Event starts at 5PM, price is $125 which includes tax, gratuity, dinner and wine pairings. Please no children.
Join us on Sunday January 13th for a Local Libations Mixer from 12-5pm. The next San Diego Farm To Fork Week is January 12th – 19th 2019, with a theme of Local Libations. Since we always carry a full local wine list this is right up our alley! For our Farm to Fork kickoff event we’ll have 9 local wineries represented from Temecula to Ensenada, as well as 1 San Diego Brewery and 1 Local Farm, with all sampling wine, beer & mocktails respectively. We’ll be providing tray passed local farm produce appetizers. This is a casual drink, bite and mingle event and a great opportunity to try some local libations & snacks! The cost is $25 at the door and you can come anytime after 12pm, with the last pour at 5pm. Purchase of additional glasses & bottles of beer, wine and farm based “mocktails” (think beet sour, a play on whiskey sour!) as well as heavy appetizers will also be available.
Please take note of our upcoming Holiday Hours. We are open as normal for the remainder of this week through Saturday, December 22, then closed for Christmas until we re-open Thursday Dec 27 through Sunday Dec 30. After our special NYEE Event wraps up we’ll close the restaurant for our 4th annual winter break, reopening Thursday Jan 10th.
Have a great holiday however you celebrate and as always thank you for your support and see you soon for your next Garden Kitchen meal!
