We hope you had a fun and safe Memorial Day. During our short time off we went to Baja Wine Country and had some amazing wine and food, every time we visit it’s such a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. Now we’re back, our two year anniversary month has come and gone and we’re officially in our THIRD year of business! It’s crazy to think about!
Father’s Day is just a couple weeks away, and on Sunday June 18th we’ll be open for the occasion, featuring steaks, seafood & other farm fresh entrees. Reservations are available from 5:00 to 8:30PM, and we highly recommend them. Our Mother’s Day Dinner sold out weeks in advance!
We’ve recently started something new based on feedback and suggestions from a group of our faithful supporters. Once a month we’re now having a special “Rainbow Happy Hour”, during which we’re extending our happy hour specials until 6pm. This event has been created especially for our LGBTQ neighbors, friends, family & of course all Garden Kitchen supporters! The next Rainbow Happy Hour event will be next Tuesday June 6th, 3PM to 6PM, so come on down and meet your neighbors.
On Sunday June 25 is the “Farmers, Friends & Fishermen” event at the Red Door Family Garden in El Cajon. This is the next in a series of seasonal, farm to table dinners, featuring local farmers, ranchers and fishermen, and headlined by Miguel Valdez, executive chef at The Red Door. If you recall, Coral was a guest chef at this event last year, but this year she has the day off and we will be there enjoying ourselves, so come join us! You can bet the warmer weather will be here soon so we’ll be putting up our ceiling fans shortly and Garden Kitchen will officially be ready for summer. Be sure to join us on the patio for Happy Hour, Tuesday – Saturday 3PM to 5PM for $4 beers, $5 select glasses of wine & sangria, and $3 off appetizers. Of course dinner is a good bet too! We should remind you that we always have fresh seafood from Catalina Offshore every Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
