Summer News, A Wine Dinner & Upcoming Farm to Fork Week

It's hard to believe it's already the second week of August, we hope that summer has been treating you well! For those that don't follow us on Facebook we have exciting news to share. We've had the honor of being written up in three different magazines over the past month! In early July Coral had a feature article written about her in Edible San Diego, which if you’re not familiar is the go to magazine for San Diego Farm To Table foodies. Then in the August 2nd issue of San Diego CityBeat there was a wonderfully written article that perfectly captured the essence of what we do at Garden Kitchen. Both of these are currently out in hard copy around the city if you want to snag one. To top it off, we were pleasantly surprised to find a "Best of San Diego" article from San Diego Magazine listing us as best "Off-the-Beaten Path Fine Dining." Thorn St Beer in Cans & Pride Week Fundraiser

We hope you had a great Fourth of July! With the warm weather now here to stay, we’ve put the fans back up and added two fans to our side patio to help stay cool during Happy Hour, a perfect time for an ice cold beverage. Of course we have our staple Benchmark Brewery  beers, including their newest release Benchmark Blond, but we also now have beer from Cerveceria Insurgente in Tijuana which is a nice addition to complement our Baja wines. With four whites and two rosés on the menu, in addition to our selection of reds, there are plenty of good options to enjoy on a sunny afternoon. If you haven't tried our signature Sangria, pitchers are only $20 from 3-5pm. Next week we will be celebrating San Diego Pride Week, Tuesday July 11 - Saturday July 15. Father’s Day Dinner, Happy Hour Updates & Events

We hope you had a fun and safe Memorial Day. During our short time off we went to Baja Wine Country and had some amazing wine and food, every time we visit it’s such a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. Now we're back, our two year anniversary month has come and gone and we’re officially in our THIRD year of business! It’s crazy to think about! Father’s Day is just a couple weeks away, and on Sunday June 18th we’ll be open for the occasion, featuring steaks, seafood & other farm fresh entrees. Reservations are available from 5:00 to 8:30PM, and we highly recommend them. Our Mother’s Day Dinner sold out weeks in advance! We’ve recently started something new based on feedback and suggestions from a group of our faithful supporters. Beer Dinner, Mother’s Day & Anniversary Events!

Hello Garden Kitchen Friends, It’s hard to believe that our TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY is right around the corner! So first things first: Thank you for your continued support and patience as we’ve grown to where we are today! To kick off our anniversary month, we’re having our first ever beer pairing dinner on April 30 featuring our good friends at Benchmark Brewing and special guest chef Miguel Valdez, Executive Chef at The Red Door, another great farm to table restaurant here in San Diego. The dinner will feature 6 courses paired with 6 beers, with two seatings, 4PM and 7PM. Price is $100 which includes all food and drink, as well as tax and tip.
