Upcoming events & some exciting news!
Hello Garden Kitchen Friends. We have a lot to share with you this month. In case you haven’t heard, we are expanding! Our location will remain the same, but our patio will be extended next door and we will add indoor dining options. These additions are still a few months out, but by next spring expect to see some exciting changes! With the extra storage space we also are planning to expand our wine options, so stay tuned. And rest assured, our normal business will not be affected in the meantime. Next week we'll being having our annual Local Lobster Nights on Wednesday Oct 25th & Thursday Oct 26th. We’ll have whole San Diego Spiny Lobsters on the menu, as well as champagne by the glass! Remember, Coral’s father is a commercial lobster fisherman, so this is her favorite event of the year! Whole Fried Fish Night & October Events
We had a great Farm to Fork week, closing out in style with our Agua Dulce Farm and Chuparosa Vineyards Wine Dinner! It was such a treat working with one farm and one winery that have such great local ingredients and wines. We are planning another Farm & Wine Dinner featuring Dickinson Farm and Edwards Vineyard later this fall. Exact date & time to be announced soon. Our whole fried fish is one of the most requested dishes we make, so we will be featuring this on the menu next Tuesday and Wednesday (September 26/27). Staying true to our ideals of sustainability, our fish is sourced from local fisherman via Catalina Offshore. Coral will be picking up the fish on Tuesday & Wednesday mornings based on the freshest catch! We expect a great turnout for this event, so be sure to make your reservations. We hope you enjoyed your Labor Day Weekend. Many of you know that we were closed last week for our annual summer break, and now after some rest and relaxation we are back at it! Starting Tuesday, September 5th we are open normal business hours- 3pm-5pm for happy hour and 5pm-9pm for dinner service. As a husband and wife run business, this week off is important for us and our staff, so thank you for understanding. Looking ahead, we have a few events for you: On Sunday September 10th Coral will be doing a CSA cooking class at Dickinson Farm showing you how to make the most of your CSA boxes! This event requires reservations and there are currently only two spots left, if you're interested sign up here. Starting on Saturday September 9th is Farm to Fork Week.
